Mount Calvary Baptist Church was organized in 1902 in Pompano Beach, Florida. What began as a small gathering of believers near a small brush harbor east of the Florida East Coast Railroad, has become a movement of people across Broward County passionately following Jesus and sharing His love with friends and neighbors. Over the decades of our history, God has faithfully used the people of Mount Calvary Church to serve our community and change the world through the power of His transforming love. OUR PASTOR
The Reverend Branden A. Jones is the proud son of Lisa Frasier and Leroy Jones, Serves as the Senior Pastor of the Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Pompano Beach, Florida. Jones is a Native of Miami, Florida, and a son of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Miami. Pastor Jones is married to his middle school sweetheart Reina Arline-Jones, they share five amazing children; Lanah Jones, Savannah Jones, Brooklynn Jones, Leilani Jones, and Branden Jones.
Jones earned an Associate's Degree from Miami Dade College in Religious studies (2017), and a Bachelor's Degree in Religion & Philosophy From Florida Memorial University (2019).
Pastor Jones has served as Senior Pastor Since the age of 22; at New Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Community of Faith Baptist Church, and currently the oldest Baptist church in Pompano Beach, Mount Calvary.
Since December 31, 2020, Pastor Jones has faithfully served as the Senior Pastor of the historic Mount Calvary Baptist Church. Mount Calvary has experienced astonishing growth in all aspects of ministry, in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic.

While Pastor Branden Jones is mainly known for his preaching ministry and serving humanity, those closest to him know that he values quality time with family and friends, and farming (gardening).
