The purpose of the Ministry of Deacons is to cooperate with and assist the pastor; assume the role of spiritual leaders of the church; to support the pastor in church worship services, family ministry and active involvement in the visitation of members.

The goal of this ministry is to review all recommendations requiring church action; and perform such duties with integrity as the church may designate.

The members of this ministry are recommended by the pastor and deacons to the church as a nominee to become a deacon, and must be a member of this church for at least two years. They must meet the qualifications given in Acts 6:3; namely, that they must be of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom.

• The members of this ministry meet the Tuesday following the first Sunday of each even month (February, April, June, August, October, December) at 6:00 P.M.

• This ministry meets jointly with the Trustees Ministry in each odd month (January, March, May, July, September, November) at 6:00 P.M.
